Cleaner Mac.
Happier you.
McSweepy clears out caches and junk, finds the big files you forgot about, and removes apps completely. Nothing goes until you've reviewed it and said yes.
Five tools. One friendly sweep.
Pick a tool on the left and press Scan. This is a live preview with sample numbers — the real app scans your own Mac.
Sample data for illustration. Your results depend on your Mac.
Everything a tidy Mac needs. Nothing it doesn't.
No bloat, no nagging, no scary pop-ups. Just the tools that actually free up space.
Quick Sweep
One click runs every scan and shows you a clear summary of what can go.
System Junk
App caches, logs, Xcode build data and broken downloads that your apps rebuild on their own.
Large & Old Files
Spots files over 200 MB, shows when you last opened them, and lets you filter to the forgotten ones.
Uninstaller
Removes apps along with the support files, caches and preferences they leave scattered around.
Login Agents
See the background helpers that start when you log in, and switch off the ones you don't need.
Feels right at home on a Mac
McSweepy is a native SwiftUI app — fast, light, dark-mode friendly and with no background processes of its own.
Nothing goes without your OK.
Lots of cleaners act first and explain later. McSweepy shows you exactly what it found, lets you untick anything, and asks before it acts.

Good to know
Is McSweepy safe to use?
Yes. It only scans until you tell it to act, and it shows you everything first. Large files, apps and login agents go to the Trash so you can restore them. Caches and logs are deleted, because apps rebuild those automatically. As with any tool that removes files, a recent Time Machine backup is always wise.
Why does my Mac warn me the first time I open it?
McSweepy isn't registered with Apple's notarisation service yet, so macOS asks you to confirm the first time you open it. It takes a few seconds: your download page shows exactly what to click (System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway). You only do it once. If you'd rather not, our 14-day money-back guarantee covers you.
Which Macs does it work on?
Any Mac running macOS 13 Ventura or later.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay £4.99 once and the app is yours, including free updates for version 1.
How do I get the app after paying?
Straight after checkout you're taken to your download page. Download McSweepy and drag it into your Applications folder. Bookmark the page for future updates.
Why does it ask to see my Documents, Desktop and Downloads?
macOS asks you to approve access to those folders so McSweepy can find large files there. It only reads them during a scan and never sends anything off your Mac.
How do I get updates?
Every version 1 update is free. Use the download page you reached after buying, which always has the newest version, or choose McSweepy › Check for Updates… in the app.
Does McSweepy collect my data?
No. Scans run entirely on your Mac, and the app has no accounts, analytics or tracking. It only goes online when you choose Check for Updates. See our privacy policy.
Who handles my payment details?
Stripe, our merchant of record, takes payment on its secure checkout, shown as "Sold through Onelink". We never see or store your card or bank details. We only receive your name, email and order details so we can deliver the app and help you.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you're not happy, email us within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you in full. See our refund policy.
